Transcending: Trans Buddhist Voices with Shaun Bartone

This event at Root & Press is an open forum, an invitation for people to share their written works on queer culture and gender, spirituality, philosophy and identity, in the form of poetry, short stories or short prose. Shaun will open the even with a reading from his recently published article, “Conduct Unbecoming” in Transcending Gender.

Shaun Bartone is a writer, musician and sociologist. His creative work spans poetry, music composition, queer theory and culture, contemporary art, ecology, buddhism and cosmology, speculative fiction and non-fiction. Shaun’s contribution to the Transcending Gender anthology is Shaun’s first publication in popular literature.
